    Physiotherapy for sprained ankle?
    I've damaged/partially torn the ligaments in my ankle. How can I strengthen them again and help them to heal faster? Peferably links to some videos would be awesome or some diagrams or instructions. Thanks!

      yon need to rebuild the balance in your ankle to prevent this from happening again. I suggest a wobble board,
      Also, simple esercise such as raising yourself up on your toes and back down will assist.
      If you also massage with camphor oil or something similar to increase the blood flow and reduce scar tissue

    confused about ankle pain?
    ok, so i have a pain in my left ankle. i'm not sure, but, from looking at diagrams, i think it's in the inferior extensor retinaculum or maybe the anterior talofibular ligament. it doesn't hurt when my foot is flat or even when i walk, but it's very painful if i point the foot up or down (down is the worst), bend it to either side, or even if i have it flat and flex my toes. i'm pretty sure i haven't injured it, so i think it's because of the shoes i was wearing. they were 2 inch heels and the left heel was about 1/2 of an inch shorter than the right, which i didn't realize until about a month and a half of wearing them for 3 and 1/2 days a week. i stopped because my ankle was starting to hurt, and it has been getting worse for about 3 weeks now. in the last few days it has become especially bad and last night i noticed that it's swollen about 1/3 of an inch. i can't afford to go to the doctor at all so i'm wondering if anyone knows anything about this and how i can help it heal?
    the pain is in the front of my ankle, right in the bend part. although sometimes the pain goes about 1 and 1/2 inches across the centre, it seems to originate from slightly to the left (outside), but still in that centre area.

      Sounds like partial ligament damage. Cant be sure unless a diagnostic test can be performed to see if there is any instability of the joint.
